On June 20, 1959, he was married to Annie Marie Konieczny by Msgr. Charles Weisnerowski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. He contributed greatly to his church, serving on the Parish Council as well as the Cemetery Committee. He also taught CCD at the church and served as a Greeter and Gift Bearer. Albert worked at Brentex Mills for 46 years. Upon his retirement, he worked at MIC Group. He served in the US Army as an Engineer during the Korean Conflict and was stationed at Darmstadt, Germany. During his time in service, he sailed aboard the USS Randall. His hobbies included gardening, outdoor work, and watching boxing and wrestling. He was a great fan of country music and especially loved Conway Twitty. Above all else, Albert loved his family. He would do anything for them. Some of his grandchildren’s favorite memories are of their Popo driving them around on his golf cart.
