Alfred Carl Sechelski, age 89 of Chappell Hill, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 after a short illness. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Alfred was born November 4, 1925 to Antoinette (Warzon) and Frank Sechelski in Anderson, Texas, where he attended school and grew up during the Depression years. In 1949 he was united in marriage with Lillian Mozdinski in All Saints Catholic Church, Houston. He became a master machinist by trade and worked in research and development at Keystone Valve Company for many years. He still found time to start and operate a photography business part time. Alfred was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2917 in Houston, and served several terms as Grand Knight. An advocate for his Polish heritage, he participated in the annual Sts. Cyril and Methodius celebration every year. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Chappell Hill where they became members of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Sitting on his porch and enjoying the serene countryside was his favorite relaxation.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carolyn Rymiller, brothers and sisters Barney, Stafford, Bennie, Raymond, David, Marion, Lena, Clara and Margaret.

Loving surviving family members include wife Lillian Sechelski of Chappell Hill; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Helen Sechelski, and granddaughters Sarah Sechelski and Rachel Sechelski of Houston. One brother Alex “A.P.” Sechelski of Atlanta, Georgia survives as do numerous nieces and nephews.

Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider St. Stanislaus Catholic Church or their Cemetery Fund.
