Obituary

Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2015. He was born in Somerville, Texas and resided in Brenham, Texas. While living in Brenham, he worked for LaRoche Chevrolet for 26 years; was a Washington County First Responder, Volunteer Berlin Firefighter, Little League Coach, Cub Scout Troop Leader, Carpenter, and so much more. He was an amazing man who lived a selfless life always putting family first. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. His legacy will carry on with his children and many grand/great grandchildren.

He is survived by: his wife, Janie Orozco Vasquez; sons, James Edward Vasquez wife Sha, Matthew Erik Vasquez wife Tricia, and Marcus Esteban Vasquez wife Brianna; daughter, Jennifer Elaine Vasquez-Humphreys husband Holden; grandchildren, Corey James Vasquez wife Devin, Haley Kristen Vasquez, Lindsey Jordan Vasquez, Amanda Alexis Brooks-Vasquez, Verona Humphreys, Tomas Angel Vasquez, Anthony Marcus Vasquez, and Samuel Paul Vasquez; great-grandchildren, Alexander James Vasquez, and Jaxson Ray Vasquez; brothers, John Vasquez wife Isabel, Domingo Vasquez, Joe Vasquez; sisters, Simona Selio and Lucy Ureste husband Raul, and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by: father, Lorenzo Vasquez; mother, Theodosia Martinez-Vasquez; sister, Mary Vasquez; brother, Charles Vasquez; great-granddaughter, Chloe Vasquez.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday February 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 701 Church St., Brenham, TX 77833. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somerville, TX.

Pallbearers will be Domingo Vasquez, Tony Vasquez, Larry Thomas, Felipe Pizarro, Hayden May-Vasquez, Daniel Orozco, Abel Orozco, Randy Orozco, John Vasquez, and Joe Vasquez. Ushers will be Junior Ureste and Daniel Ureste. Honorary pallbearers will be Berlin Volunteer Firefighters, Washington County First Responders, LaRoche Chevrolet Staff, and Blinn College Staff.
