Carrie Stom

Carrie Stom, 85, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service for Carrie following at 1:00 in the afternoon at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Carrie was born on August 18, 1928 to James and Alvie Lambert. On June 15, 1946 she married Len Stom in Houston. She had three children, Leonard, Kurt, and Karen. Carrie enjoyed being a homemaker as well as cooking and gardening. Later in life, she attended college and became a nurse. Carrie was an active member of her church and enjoyed caring for the Alzheimer's patients at the nursing home in Brenham.

She was preceded in Heaven by her parents, husband, siblings, son Kurt and his wife Sylvia, as well as her son-in-law Jon Wasserman.

Carrie is survived by: son Leonard Stom; daughter Karen Wasserman; four grandchildren, Wendy, Tiffany, Michelle, and Eric; and seven great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Hartley, Alyssa, Lilyana, Briana, and Timothy.
