Charles B. Ogrodowicz

Charles Ogrodowicz, age 71, the husband of Margaret “Margie” Ogrodowicz, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM with Rosary at 7 PM on Thursday, June 26, in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 27, in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Brenham. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Charles was born May 19, 1943, in Brenham to parents Lee and Theckla (Murski) Ogrodowicz. Charles graduated from Brenham High School, Class of 1961. After graduation, he served in the Army National Guard. On September 10, 1966, he was united in marriage to Margaret “Margie” Bilski in Houston. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus of Chappell Hill and KJT of Brenham.

Survivors include spouse Margaret “Margie” (Bilski) Ogrodowicz; two daughters and sons-in-law Kristin and Paul Mason, Melissa and Carl Norman; four grandchildren Ridge and Reese Mason, Grace and Luke Sturdivant, sister Clara Kmiec along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents, brothers Clement, Roman and Florian Ogrodowicz preceded him in death.

Charles enjoyed his life on the ranch, listening to Polka music while enjoying a beer. He loved his Blue Bell Ice Cream, his dog Elin and being a self taught expert of all trades.

His wife was his constant caregiver for the last year during his battle with leukemia. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in God’s loving arms.
