Charlotte (Doss) Rybarski

Charlotte Kay Rybarski, 75, of Brenham passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 28 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Chappell Hill with Rev. Ernesto Elizondo as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Brenham.

Charlotte was born July 7, 1941 in Houston to James Allen Doss and Clara Doss Cox. She attended schools in Houston. On March 7, 1959, Charlotte married the love of her life, Charles Rybarski, Sr. in Houston. Thereafter, they moved their family to Brenham. They celebrated their nuptials by renewing their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, where they were parish members.

Charlotte’s cherished times were when she was either fishing, hunting or going on casino trips. She also had a love for scratch-offs, eating anything sweet and playing chicken foot. Her most treasured moments were spending time with her beloved husband, family and their dogs Abby and Coon. Charlotte was a loving wife, mother and “Mema” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and nephew Jake Wendlandt.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles Rybarski, Sr.; children, Brenda Prestwood and husband Kenny, Charles Rybarski, Jr. and wife Terri, Linda Krolczyk and husband Johnnie Ray, Sr. and John Rybarski all of Brenham; grandchildren, Crystal Duran & husband Luis, Johnnie Ray Krolczyk, Jr. “Bubba” & fiancé Ashley, Corey Prestwood and fiancé Lisa, Brittney Pestwood and fiancé Sean, Kayla Rybarski, Keith Rybarski and special friend Sam; great-grandchildren, Levi and Emma Duran, Stella Church and step great-grandchildren, Cody and Hayli Williamson. She is also survived by three sisters, two brothers, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Johnnie Ray Krolczyk, Jr. “Bubba”, Corey Prestwood, Keith Rybarski, Luis Duran, Sean Church, Brian Rybarski, Dana Schultz, Mark Schodek and Tim Jakubik. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Wendlandt, Bob Johnston, Max Rybarski, Justin Hilliard, Daniel Hilliard and V. J. Jozwiak.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in memory of Charlotte Rybarski and/or Brenham Animal Shelter.
