Obituary

Christine Thelma Thompson Condron, a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and proud “Mom-maw”, passed away on June 15, 2015 at the age of 90. A funeral service will be held at Brenham’s First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19 with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Troy Dickerson, Freddie Stevens, Bryan Stevens, Robby Kauffman, Ryan Deer, Colt Groth, Luke Condron and Garrett Stevens.

Christine was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on October 21, 1924 to Frank and Opal (White) Thompson. While working at RCA in Indianapolis during World War II, she met the love of her life, T K Condron.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was a terrific cook, outstanding hostess,skilled gardener and a great homemaker. She was extremely involved in church having served as WMU President, Sunday School teacher, Training Union teacher, VBS teacher among several other jobs. For the past 30 years, she and T K have been members at Brenham’s First Baptist Church.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings, Dan Thompson, Doris Billheimer, Jeanette Jessie, Bonnie Burchett, Betty Jo Stacey, and a great-granddaughter, Gracie Groth.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years who selflessly cared for her the last eight years as she deteriorated with dementia; her three children: Shirley Stevens (Freddie), Glenna Knight (Joe) and Trevin Condron (Cindi); eight grandchildren: Bryan Stevens, Katrina Kauffman, Shannon Deer, Kristin Dickerson, Lindsay Pittman, Colt Groth, Ginny Groth and Luke Condron; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Garrett, Reagan and Carson Stevens, R. J., Zachary and Nicholas Kauffman, Madi and Harper Pittman, Emma and Colten Groth, Turner, Tillman and Truett Dickerson, Brayden and Brynna Laird.
