Dear Family,
When I first visited with Chris a few days ago as a volunteer with a local care organization, I came to realize that we had known each other some 20 years ago when he served as a funeral director and we had spent time together serving bereaving and mourning families. Now, as he faced his own death I saw that he had remained that caring and loving person for all he encountered. As you now grieve his death may the Lord's care and love sustain each of you. My heart is heavy as I learn of Chris' death tonight. He was a man of very strong faith and values. I was honored to have met him. He is no longer in pain and now resting in his heavenly fathers arms. Praying for Gods peace to envelop all of you now and in the days and months ahead..

I loved Chris the first time I met him in the hospital. Some people just touch our souls immediately, and he certainly did that. He was so genuine and full of faith, and I know he impacted others as he did me. May all who loved him know God's peace.
