Clarence "Rock" Holder

Clarence Wayne (Rock) Holder, 60, of Brenham passed away peacefully Dec. 20, 2014

Visitation will be held today from 5:30-8 p.m. with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his: mother, Mary (Krause) Horak; brothers, Michael Holder Sr., Susie, Lee Horak, Peggy, Brian and Wendy Horak; sisters, Donna and Marshall Paulk, and Mary Ann and Dave Exter; special friend, Darnell Surrett; aunts and uncles, Bertha Geick (Godmother), Margaret and Willie Brinkmeyer, Nat and Billie Jasinski, Rita and Freddie Hugo, Daniel Krause, Marvin Weidemann Sr. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Clarence was preceded in death by grandparents Henry and Louise (Jozwiak) Krause; infant brother Frank Steve Horak; and father John Steve Horak.

He served as an altar boy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Active in the military from 1972-74, served in Germany. Worked as a tile and carpet setter.

He loved to barbecue, hunt and fish. He was loved by everyone, and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Pallbearers are Freddie Hugo, Leroy Batts Jr., Coy Surrett, Marty Weidemann, Jamie Nugent, and Jason Jasinski. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Holder Sr., Dave Exter, Marshall Paulk, Marcus Weidemann, and all his friends from Quick Mart.
