Obituary

Audrey Dolores O'Malley was born in Hackberry, Louisiana, September 21, 1928 to Gibbs Duhon and Melanie Hester Hebert. She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She worked for Humble Oil in Houston where she met and married E.P. O'Malley in 1948. In 1950, they moved to Brenham and started a dairy operation in the Zionsville Community.

An active and devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dolores was a leader in various community organizations throughout her lifetime, including the Parent Teacher Organization, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the St. Mary’s Prayer Line Ministry and Folk Choir. One of her greatest joys was to help others in their journey with the Lord. To that end, Dolores started the St. Mary's Little Rock Bible Study with her son which has now continued for 35 years.

Dolores died as she lived, surrounded by people that loved her dearly on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She will be lovingly remembered for her wonderful hospitality and her passionate devotion to her family, her church and her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five of her siblings, Willie Redick, Doris Parker, Royce Duhon, Lorraine Veron, Gerald Duhon, and her beloved son, Patrick Edward O'Malley.

Her loving family includes: her husband, E.P. O'Malley of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Alice O'Malley of Nowata, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Wayne Stolz of Washington; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Ann O'Malley Morgan and Jerry Morgan of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and H.D. “Trey” Schwarz III of Hempstead; grandchildren, Kenny and Stephanie O'Malley, Jennifer and David Farley, Elizabeth and Noah Sanco, Darren and Gina Stolz, Rhonda and Don Boeker, Kerri and Scott Kaste, Tracy and Greg Pittman, Amy and Dan Brink, Kacy and David Kuespert, Megan Wells, Andy and Ashton Randermann, Amanda and Levi Walchuk, David Schwarz; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Fleta Mayes; sister-in-law, Ruth Watkins; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tammy, Ida, and Christina.

The O'Malley family will receive friends at Brenham Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 21 from 5-7 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 22, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: grandsons, Darren Stolz, Kenny O'Malley, Andy Randermann, David Schwarz, Don Boeker, David Farley, Scott Kaste, Greg Pittman, Noah Sanco, Levi Walchuk, Dan Brink, and David Kuespert.
