Obituary

Dorothy Glenn Ray, age 95, of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Visitation with family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 at Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St. in Brenham, Texas (979) 836.3611. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Texas (713) 928.5141.

The daughter of Herbert Glen Adams and Bertice Louise “Peggy” (Penn) Adams was born in Waco, Texas on December 15, 1918. Glenn had one brother, Dr. Wm. C. Adams of Pearland, Texas who preceded her in death. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas and the St. Louis Institute of Music in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated with a teacher’s degree.

Glenn met and married the love of her life Harold Treynor Ray, Jr. on July 25, 1942 and celebrated 68 exciting and wonderfully loving years together before H.T.’s passing in June of 2010.

She was the loving mother of three children, Harold Treynor Ray, III “Rusty” and his wife Dianne of Seguin, Texas; Herbert Glen Ray “Buddy” and his wife Patricia of St. Louis, Missouri; and Beth Adrienne Ray Concklin and her husband Tom of Brenham, Texas.

Glenn is also survived by 9 grandchildren and spouses who lovingly call her GoGo: Harold T. Ray, IV “Chip” and his wife Beth of Indianapolis, Indiana; Heather Denise Ray of Walton, Indiana; Charles Adams Ray and his wife Renee of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Kirk Michael Ray of Nashville, Tennessee; Darci June Ackerman of Indianapolis, Indiana; Joel Adam Ray and wife Jessica of Austin, Texas; Jason Allen Ray and wife Jamie of Austin, Texas; Aaron Ray Rubach and wife Linda of Brenham, Texas and Eric Dayne Rubach and wife Wendy of Brenham, Texas.

The nickname GoGo was passed onto 14 great-grandchildren. She will be missed terribly by all.
