To all of the Sidebottom family....It was an honor to know Mr. Sidebottom. My son Jon always enjoyed "going to the farm" with him and Stephen.
Whenever he saw me around town he would always take time to speak to me. He was indeed a very nice gentleman. Our sympathy to you his family from our family.

My parents were best friends with Ed & Frances. During my growing up years, with rare exception, Friday or Saturday night entertainment consisted of an evening of their playing dominos while the girls and I played monopoly or cards. Ed was an engineer and my Dad was a carpenter. Theirs was a special friendship which included farm-talk and fishing. Once he discovered Facebook, he amazed us all; the upcoming 2016 election would have been more lively and interesting with his input. He was a good and kind and special man and he will be missed.

To Mr. Sidebottom's family and friends, I send my thoughts and prayers to you. I had the great honor and pleasure of working with him at Lummus. Our world has lost a wonderful person and a real gentleman. Linda

So sorry for your loss. Eddie was a great man, and always had a smile to greet you. He will be greatly missed on Facebook. He stirred up a bunch of people, but he voiced his opinion. I loved looking at the old pictures he posted. Rest in peace Eddie. Take care of each other in this sad time, and know we love you and share your sadness.

I remember Mr. Ed Sidebottom when we both served on the Faith Mission Board many years ago....a very distinguished gentleman who I remember well...sincere condolences to his family and close friends...

I remember Ed from when we were in the Brenham Rotary Club together. We were working on a Community Service project to repair a home, and Ed noticed that the mailbox was in poor condition. Ed purchased a new mailbox, along with all of the items needed to install it. I have never seen such a well-engineered mailbox pole and attachment! I drove past the house today and it is still standing straight and strong. Ed only knew how to do things "well" and "to last."
