Elizabeth Mae (Batdorf) Hold

Elizabeth Mae Batdorf Hold, former long-time resident of Brenham, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2017, at the age of 90.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Elizabeth was born November 9, 1926 in Brenham to Marion “Otto” and Katie (Muehlberger) Batdorf. She will be fondly remembered by her surviving family and all who knew her for her independent spirit, her love of animals, and her loyalty to the Houston Astros.

Surviving loving family includes: daughter, Carol Krenzke and husband Fred; sons, James Hold and wife Guadalope and David Hold and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Kevin Krenzke, Jeff Krenzke, Robert Hold, Michelle Goeke, Donna Choat, Katelynne Hold, Caleb Hold, Caden Hold; great-grandchildren: Avery Krenzke, Owen Krenzke, Kennedy Hold, Kalyla Hold, Aiden Choat, Leann Goeke and Heath Goeke; sisters, Marilyn Richter, Rosalie Wozniak and husband Al.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nolan Hold; son, George Lee Hold; one brother, Walter “Pete” Batdorf; two sisters, Evelyn Shirah and Shirlene Batdorf; grandchildren, Christopher Hold and Rachel Hold.
