Ella (Ainsworth) Riley

Ella Catherine Riley passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Brenham.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4 all in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery

Ella was born May 31, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to parents James and Mary (Thomas) Ainsworth. She graduated from Goodrich High School in Goodrich, Texas (Class ’50).

On August 3, 1973 she was united in marriage to Kennel Riley and on September 13, 1998 he preceded her in death. Ella was employed as a security guard and also enjoyed being a loving wife and mother. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading books, ceramics, and flower gardening.

Family members include: son, Leonard Lee and wife Tami; daughters, Cathy Lampe and husband Richard, Carolyn Blackburn; grandchildren, Lori Hukel and husband Danny, Jason Lampe; great-grandchildren, Ashley Goodnight, Austin Goodnight; brother, William Ainsworth and wife Raquel; sisters, Mary Shannon, Ann Carter; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death were: her parents; husband; brothers, James, Clarence and Danny Ainsworth; sisters, Margie Bowen, Rosie Dillard and Barbara Kerr.
