Elva (Reasoner) Knoerr

Elva (Reasoner) Knoerr, 75, of Chappell Hill, passed away on May 22, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Pastor Marty Mosher will officiate.

Elva was born on March 1, 1942, to Woodrow and Lucille (Gentry) Reasoner. Elva grew up in Goose Creek, Texas. Elva later married Sammie Knoerr. They made their home in Alvin, where Elva was employed as a bus driver for over thirty years. In her retirement, Elva joined the Chappell Hill community. Elva was a kind and loving woman who treasured time spent with her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being a member of the Cowboy Church of Brenham.

Elva is survived by her sons, Sam Knoerr and wife Pattie of Hempstead, TX, Billy Knoerr and wife Lydia of Pearland, TX, Stephen Knoerr of Chappell Hill, TX; daughter Hattie Knoerr of Chappell Hill, TX; granddaughters, Deborah Lauman, Samantha Bennett, Ashley Knoerr, Natalie Labay, and Kimberly Labay; grandsons, Thomas Knoerr, Billy Knoerr, Jr., Marcus Knoerr, Sammie Knoerr, John Lacis and Jason Lacis; as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.

Elva is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sammie Knoerr, brother Calvin Reasoner, sister Mary (Reasoner) Townes, daughter Sarah R. Shoemake, and granddaughter Stephanie Knoerr.
