Florian Sobczak

Florian Sobczak, age 91 of Chappell Hill, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017.

On November 25, 1925, Florian Sobczak was born in Chappell Hill to parents Steve and Cecelia (Kujawa) Sobczak. He worked on the family farm. Later, he worked at Floyd’s Meat Market in Chappell Hill. Florian was also a devoted caregiver to his parents. He was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Julian Sobczak.

Surviving family includes nieces and nephews, Lillian and Marshall Wisnieske, Joyce Wisnieske, Clara and Gary Schnieder; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and caregiver and neighbor Mark Cegielski.

Graveside services for Florian Sobczak will be held Tuesday, March 7th at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Jozef Musiol SDS, JCD officiating.
