Jen, Mary, & Family - What a special lady! She was gracious, loving, fun, artistic, classic, & had a style of her own! (BTW, I love this picture of her.) I remember that I so wanted to be like her, but I've obviously failed miserably...there could only be 1 Genevieve. Both of your parents were very special to me, and I thank you for sharing them not only with me, but with the hundreds of others just like me. They have certainly left a legacy! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers....

It is difficult to lose your Mom at any time but during the holidays, it seems more difficult. I pray for your peace in her eternal life with our Savior. May your memories bring you joy and your faith bring you peace and comfort.

I remember Aunt Gen as a sweet, lovely woman. I will never forget her kindness to our family when Dick was ill. God bless you Genevieve. Rest In Peace with Our Lord.

When I was a teenager, Mrs Giles always had time for a chat and for welcoming anyone to her table for a meal. I remember how she was always impeccably dressed, and was so interesting to talk to. She always had an anecdote or a pearl of wisdom to share. Jennifer, Mark and Mary, I am sorry for your loss. I feel lucky though to have known such a beautiful woman.

All my love,

Mary, Jennifer, and Family,
I was deeply saddened to see your Mother's obituary today. Our parents were all friends for so many years, so I feel so fortunate to have known them both. Your Mother will be missed. Such a sweet disposition with an infectious smile is how I'll remember her.

Hugs and Kisses,

I was a guest in the home of Mrs Giles while attending Blinn. In the summer of 1969, her nephew George and I lived in Buccaneer Hall. She was so kind and offered us home cooked meals!!! George would use their name and I used my aunt and uncle's name (Ethel and Henry Boehm) when we would use Gun and Rod as out of town guests for late night swims. She and Mr Giles were very welcoming and occasionally George would get to use the little red VW convertible. Sympathy to her family.
