Obituary

Glenn B. Klussmann, 69 of Montgomery, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2003. He was born in the William Penn Community of Washington County on May 7, 1934 to Martin and Henrietta Boenker Klussmann. He graduated from Brenham High School, Blinn Junior College and Sam Houston State University. Glenn served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Glenn was an elected official serving on the Brenham City Council and as a member on the Brenham Independent School District Board of Trustees. He was also involved in numerous civic organizations. After a short stint as a teacher and coach in Burton, Texas, Glenn established his career in the insurance industry.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Survivors include his two sons Dugan Klussmann and wife Florine of Katy and Duncan Klussmann and wife Marissa of Houston; seven grandchildren Henry Brown, Alla Klussmann, Cameron Klussmann, William Klussmann, Chesley Klussmann, Caroline Klussmann and Rees Klussmann; brother Alvin Klussmann of Brenham; sisters Natalie Glaesmann, Amanda Glaesmann and Evelyn Muery all of Brenham; Emma Colburn and Ollie Danhaus both of Fort Worth, Joyce Thomas of Boerne and Leona Cox of Sacramento, California.

The Klussmann family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2003 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn with Rev. Eldor Harmann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bobby Blum, Bryan Colburn, Tom Bibb, Herbert Glaesmann, Larry Wayne Glaesmann, Leroy Stoddard and Fred Zieke.

Memorials may be given to the charity of choice.
