Helen M. (Bartniski) Mobley

Helen Mobley “Nanny” passed from this life to the next on June 24, 2017, 3 days following her 89th birthday. She knows "no more pain, no more sorrow and no more tears."

Visitation will be Friday, July 7th from 5-7 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. and funeral services will be Saturday, July 8th at 10 a.m. all held at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Helen was born June 21, 1928 in Brenham to Steve and Frances (Kopycinski) Bartniski. On May 21, 1946, she married Robert Lee “Bob” Mobley at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Houston. Helen retired from Kroger after 25 years. She and Bob lived in many posts as a Navy family, and eventually retired in Brenham. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Helen was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, brother, Bill Bartniski and sisters, Julia Bilski, Martha Kaminski, Mary Bartniski, Theresa Bilski, Clara Gutowski, Mary Porter.

Surviving family includes: sons and daughters-in-law, James and Connie Mobley of Arlington, TX, Mark and Norma Mobley of Port Charlotte, FL, and Andy and Sue Mobley of Oak Leaf, TX; 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Joy Beth, Joshua, Gentry, Jackie, Michael and Brittney; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Derkowski of Brenham; and many nieces and nephews with their families.

Representing those who are unable to attend, pallbearers will be: grandson, USAF Lt. Col. Gentry Mobley; nephews, Pat Porter, Johnny Bilski, and Michael Derkowski; great nephews, Ben and Brady Ware.
