Obituary


Jesse C. Adler, 80 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Scott & White Hospital, College Station. Visitation will be Monday, February 2 from 5:30 p.m. until rosary is recited at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 3 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kurt Adler, Michael Black, David Wayne Ray, Gabriel Rogas, James Gaskamp and David Lange. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Black, Billy Black, Ricky Adler and Allen Mattern.

J.C. was born February 14, 1934 in Washington County to Raymond and Ruby (Pfeffer) Adler. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer and truck driver for various companies delivering milk, feed and beer. J.C. enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing dominos. He loved to find, cut and decorate Christmas trees.

He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers.

Survivors include: wife, Rose Mary Adler; stepchildren, Rose Ann Adler, Darlene and Jeff Boecker, Ricky and Theresa Adler, Annette Keels; two children from a previous marriage; grandchildren, Dustin, Kurt and Trace Adler, Jessica and Ashley Eldridge, Sarah, Emily and Haydon Boecker; great-grandson, Ethan Schubert.
