Johnny P. Jozwiak

Johnny P. Jozwiak, 77 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his residence.

Visitation with the family present will be Sunday, November 22 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 pm in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill with Rev. Jozef Musiol, SDS, JCD as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Justin Dodd, Brandon Dodd, Greg Elmore, Austin Elmore, Michael Moorehead, Robert Bielamowicz and Steven Kirkpatrick. Honorary pallbearer is Philip Sutherland.


Johnny was born June 15, 1938 in Bellville, TX to Charles Pete and Nancy (Faterkowski) Jozwiak. He attended Houston schools. On September 11, 1959 he was united in marriage to Bernice Dorothy Zievert at Christ the King Catholic Church in Houston. Johnny worked as a welder at Mosher Steel, General Welding and Hahn & Clay, from where he retired. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, watching TV and he loved his dog “Blackie”.

Survivors include wife Bernice Jozwiak; daughters Elaine Dodd of Brenham, Louise (husband Robert) Bielamowicz of Crosby; son Dale (wife Tawnya) of Houston; grandchildren Shelly Dodd, Justin (wife Alissa) Dodd, Brandon Dodd, Kristi (husband Steven) Kirkpatrick, Corbin Jozwiak, Devin Jozwiak; great-grandchildren Jayden Dodd, Kayden Kirkpatrick, Jaxon Dodd; brother and sister-in-law Charles B. and Verna Ann Jozwiak.

His parents preceded him in death.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX.
