Maggie (Stegent) Strenk

Maggie (Stegent) Strenk, 94 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Rosary will be recited Thursday, June 8th at 7 p.m. and funeral services will be Friday, June 9th at 10 a.m. both held at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Maggie was born May 3, 1923 in Brenham to Albert and Marianna (Superczynski) Stegent. She was baptized May 9, 1923 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She attended Wiedeville School. Maggie worked at Brenham Cotton Mill and St. Anthony’s Cleaners. She also farmed and ranched alongside her husband Lawrence and enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Lawrence Strenk; brother, Bennie; sisters, Katherine, Julie, Helen, Pauline; one great-great grandchild; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Mary Strenk.

Surviving family includes: daughter, Dorothy Meyer and husband Barney; grandchildren, Janice and Jaime Cordova, Kevin Meyer; great grandchildren, Kristy Lange, Candice Steinfeld, Michael Steinfeld, 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, Louis Stegent and wife Helen; nieces and nephews.
