Obituary

Margaret Louise Mumma, 97, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at Brenham Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Industry Methodist Church of Industry with Rev. Leighanne Brechin officiating with burial in the church cemetery.

She was born on March 13, 1919 in Darke County, Ohio, the oldest child of Frank and Mary (Wright) Erisman. On October 28, 1939, she was married to Jack Mumma in Vandalia, OH. They moved to Texas in 1949, living first in Houston, then San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and back to Houston in the 1950’s. In 1992, they moved to the Bellville area. In Houston, they were members of St. Stephens United Methodist Church. Since moving “to the farm” in Bleiblerville, she has been an active member of Industry United Methodist Church. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ever hope for – always loving, kind, gentle, caring, never raising her voice. She loved nothing better than having her family around.

Those left behind to miss her terribly include daughters Judy Warner and husband John of Pampa, TX, Jackie Leach and husband Ernie of Bleiblerville, TX, and Janet Lewis and husband Charles of Richmond, TX; grandchildren Mike Warner and wife Kim of Amarillo, TX, Sandy Carr and husband Ron of Miami, TX, Melanie Warner of Fresno, CA, Patti Warner of Dallas, TX, Randy Leach and wife Stephanie of Bleiblerville, TX, Marty Leach and wife Heather of Katy, TX, Brett Lewis and wife Margie of Brownsville, TX, and Rian Heath and husband Paul of Los Angeles, CA; great-grandchildren Sage, Phebe, and Simone Warner, Jonathan, Aaron, and Shelbie Carr, Kyla, Cole, and Hudson Kennedy, Taylor and Joshua Leach, Cora Leach, and Kaitlyn and Charles Lewis; sister Edith Fisher of Englewood, OH; sister-in-law Betty Swartz of Vandalia, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, sister Jenny Rose Dean, brother Arthur Erisman, infant daughter Jeri, and great-grandson Carson Kennedy.

Those wishing to send memorial gifts are asked to consider Industry United Methodist Church,
