To the Jacob Family,

I read a post just now from Susan that Mark passed away a few days ago. I am actually typing this as you are at his Funeral Mass and burial. Mark was always willing to help me with eggs or letting my students practice poultry judging on the hens. I loved going to Jake's when he and Elvis were there...man what belly laughs they could make a guy have. I remember stories of the "brown bench" at RTC Elementary, Elvis and Mark at "Egg business" conventions, etc. Enjoyed seeing y'all on occasions when Tilden played RTC in volleyball or basketball playoffs. I had a good visit with Mark in late April, wanting to stop by to shoot the bull on our way to FFA contest at A&M, but could not get there that Friday.

I am sorry that you have lost a great husband, father, and grandfather. He caught me up on every one of you in our visit that day. I am proud to have been his friend. May God Bless you all!
