Obituary

Martha (Zientek) Murski, 99 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Visitation will be Friday, August 11th from 5 p.m. until rosary is recited at 7 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 12th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parish Activity Center with Rev. Vincent Romuald as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

On January 18, 1918, Martha Valeria Zientek was born to John L. and Mary (Stegent) Zientek in the Phillipsburg Community. She attended Pleasant Hill School and St. Mary’s School. On November 5, 1935, she married Max John Murski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Martha and her husband worked their dairy farm. Martha was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of the St. Mary’s Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, three brothers, and numerous other relatives.

Surviving loving family includes: children and spouses, Louise and Benjamin Hajovsky, Eugene and Carol Murski, Dolores Haynes; grandchildren, Benjamin Wayne (Eileen) Hajovsky, Deborah Lynn (David) Vesling, Laura Hajovsky, Sally (Steve) Ludwig, John (Michelle) Hajovsky, Marc (Mary Kay) Murski, Chad Haynes; great-grandchildren, Joel (Paula) Hajovsky, Sarah (Gabriel) McCoy, Leigh (Cody) Goings, Anne Hajovsky, Ethan Vesling, Ava Vesling, Kyra Hajovsky, Ben Ludwig, Cade Hajovsky, Cole Murski; great-great-grandchildren, Jude Hajovsky , Elle Marie Hajovsky; brother Harry Zientek; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
