Milton D. Budell

Milton D. Budell, 80 of Brenham, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, December 31, 2012.

Milton was born March 22, 1932 in Moscow, Texas to Joe and Frances (Zvonek) Budell. On April 28, 1951, he was married to Jerry Elaine McGinnis.

Milton began his machinist career with John L. Dore Industries in Houston. He and his family moved to Brenham in 1967, where he assisted Bud Bertolet in forming TFE Company. He served as plant manager until his retirement in 1996. Milton was a brilliant machinist and there was never a part he could not make. Milton loved coon and coyote hunting and especially domino and card games with family and friends. He was a master mason with Graham Masonic Lodge #20 in Brenham.

He was preceded in death by parents, parents-in-law Claude and Mearl McGinnis, and brother Jim Budell.

Survivors include: wife of 61 years, Jerry Budell; brother, Mike (Brenda) Budell; special friends, Lorine Henn and Homer Carmean; son, Darrell (Jodie) Budell; daughters, Jody (Larry) Schulz, Patti Harl; grandchildren, Matthew Polk, Courtney (Milton) Schmitt, Hastings Harl, Harrison (Casey) Harl, Nichole (Desmond) Carr, Savannah (Matthew) Gutierrez, Skylar Schulz; great-grandchildren, Addyson and Garrett Polk, Ty Milton Harl, Gentri Gutierrez, Alexis Thomas, Caydence Carr, Loren Bohi; aunt Ruth Grohman; uncle Antone Zvonek; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friend Krystal Malek.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5th at 2 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. A reception will follow at Christ Lutheran Church, 1104 Carlee Dr., Brenham.
