Rita (Bush) Oglethorpe - Guestbook

Kellie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your MOM spoke about you, Brian and wanting to be closer. And Being Mimi was her greatest JOY of all.
She was excited about her weekends in Brenham. I met her at St. Paul when our kids went to school there. We also went on some of Bryce's field trips together. She helped me find a home in College Station she was so patient and kind. When she told me she was moving to Brenham with you and family, she was so elated.
She touched my life, like so many others.
See you when I get there Rita.

Rita will be sadly missed. She was one classy lady that was always a friend to everyone and a second mom to me. No more pain or sorrow my dear Rita but why do our hearts hurt so much? Thank you for being a part of all of our lives in your own special way.Save us a seat at your table.Be free and at peace.

I had know Rita when she lived in Houston, She and I both had worked with Henry S. Miller Real Estate. She and I had referred buyers and sellers a lot over the last several years since she was in Bryan and I am a Realtor with RE/MAX Space center in Houston. She was highly thought of and I know she will be missed by many not only in Bryan but also in Houston. Ray

Rita helped us buy our first home in Bryan and we became friends. When we were ready to sell the house, she was the first one we thought to call, because of her wonderful, easy going manner. She was always very patient and understanding with us and did a wonderful job in the Bryan/College Station area. Rita, the world has lost a great person. RIP dear Rita.

I worked for Rita years ago when she started MTS and was running the business out of her home. Although I haven't seen her for a long time, I've always remembered her as being a kind and gracious lady. RIP, Rita.

Rita and I shared a rare bond, I met her while looking for our home in Bryan. We bonded over the fact we were both from Victoria. We knew we liked something about each other. She helped us buy and sell the same home. She recently called me to invite me to her retirement reception in Bryan. I know heaven gained an angel but we have lost a friend. We'll miss you Miss Rita!

Kelli & family, my heart aches for you. I have always loved & admired Rita. She was a sweetheart to all. I always felt her love for all of Mike's family. I will treasure her memory & am so glad I had those last few conversations with her just days before her stroke. My love, thoughts & prayers continue to be with you as you face the days ahead.

We are so sad to loose our Dear Rita. Mike was like a brother to me rather than my cousin, as he lived with my family when we were children. As we grew into adulthood, my wife Lora and Rita went to school together and we introduced her to Mike. The rest is history. In our young married lives we shared many great times as our families grew together. We will miss her as we have missed our dear Mike over these last few years.

Rita will be remembered by many. She had a way of touching you to your very soul. She was my inspiration to get into real estate and someone that I always had the utmost respect for. We always joked that she wasn't my second mom because she was too young for that...she was my sister. I will miss her the rest of my days and know many others that will too.

Dear Kelli, Brian, Bryce, Kate, and Savannah,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom, mother-in-law and "mimi". Remember, it is only a temporary separation until all of God's children will be reunited with Him and each other in perfect peace, love and wholeness. I know your loss is great and Rita will be so missed. Rita brought quality of life, sincerity, kindness and grace to everyone she was around. I know God greeted her with, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

With deepest sympathy,
