Robert Chappell

Robert Chappell, 85, of Brenham, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Visitation will be 6:00–8:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Brenham Church of Christ with Dr. Doug Hall officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM, at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.

Robert was born on June 18, 1931, to Frank Chappell and Alice Chambers, in Houston, Texas.

He served in the US Air Force for ten years. He was employed as a public school teacher for over 30 years. Robert served as an elder at Deer Park Church of Christ, and later at Watters Road Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Chappell; his children and their spouses, Alicia (Robert) Gunter, Rhonda (Griffith II) Miller, Robert Chappell II; his son-in-law Mickey Randolph; grandchildren, Jacob Gunter, Caleb Gunter, Rebekah Mesa, Joseph Gunter, Rachel Gunter, Daisha Gunter, Sarah Gunter, Michael Gunter, Daniel Gunter, Shane Randolph, Erin Randolph, Robert Miller, and Ruth Miller; and great-grandchildren, Arya Gunter, Caylee Gunter, and Makinley Mesa; siblings and their spouses, Sterling Frank Chappell Jr. and wife Betty, Doratha Moore, Gregory Chappell, Lou Alice Roden and husband Paul.

Robert is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Chappell and their daughter Elizabeth Randolph.
