Obituary

Texas A&M Class of ’52, USN Veteran, USAF Veteran

William (Billy) L. Bigbee began his career as an AIA architect with Wyatt C. Hedrick in Houston and then was hired by Gerald Hines as the first architect for his new firm. After leaving Gerald Hines, he finished his career with The Austin Company in Houston.

After retiring from architecture, he enjoyed raising and showing national champion AMHA registered miniature horses and traveling overseas.

He was HLSR Lifetime Committeeman, Horseshow Announcers Committee and Judging Contest Scoring Committee, member AOPA, former City Councilman Sugar Land, Texas, past president of the Fort Bend County Fair and life member.

Preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Cook Bigbee and most recently his wife Dorothy Ann Bigbee.

Survived by his sister Beryl Wagner, son Tom Bigbee and wife Donna, son Bill Bigbee and wife Ty, granddaughter Kelly Bolser and great grandchildren.
