He was born in Brenham to Willie Fritz Zuehlke, Sr. and Delores (Bothe) Zuehlke on November 18, 1944. He was baptized December 24, 1944 and confirmed March 30, 1958 in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, where he remained a lifelong member. After graduating from Blinn College in 1965, he joined the Air Force as a medical service specialist and served from August 1966-June 1970. On May 23, 1976, he was married to Dorothy Zalesky. A few years later, their daughter Jennifer was born. Fritz worked in the family business, Zuehlke's Store, on Highway 105 from 1956-May 2011 with his mother and wife. He enjoyed meeting new people who stopped in. The store kept the locals from having to run to town. He also became known as the “Cool-Fan-Man” with his water evaporating cooling fan business. Fritz traveled all over the state for 26 years helping people and their livestock stay nice and cool.

He will forever be remembered as "Fritzie" in Brenham, Texas.

Preceded him in death were his parents and wife.

Surviving loving family includes: daughter, Jennifer Westbay and husband Steve and their children Ashley and Nathaniel of Huntsville; aunt, Irene Helmer of Brenham, uncle, Eugene Bothe of Brenham; and numerous extended family.

Memorials are requested to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville.
