Albin Antkowiak

Albin Antkowiak, 57 of Brenham, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Bryan.

Albin was born September 23, 1953 in Brenham, Texas, son of Stanley and Johanna (Andrejczak) Antkowiak. He was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, being baptized and confirmed by Monsignor Charles Weisnerowski. He was a graduate of Brenham High School. He retired from the State School.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: brother and sister-in-law Paul and Lillian Antkowiak; sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Vasut and special friend Marvin Surrett, Mary and Bill Fiedler; nieces and nephews Jennifer and Jason Grimm, Robert and Betty Antkowiak, James and Kelly Antkowiak, Patrick Antkowiak, Martin Vasut, Margaret Vasut, Michael Vasut; great nephews and nieces Jace Antkowiak, Kinley Antkowiak, Irelyn Antkowiak, Bailey Antkowiak, Jax Antkowiak.

Viewing will begin Wednesday, May 25th at 11 a.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral mass is Thursday, May 26th at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Ivey, Celebrant. Burial follows in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robert Antkowiak, James Antkowiak, Patrick Antkowiak, Jason Grimm, Michael Vasut and Kevin Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Reeves, Roy Hardan, Florian Pawlak and Jonathan Jenkins.
