Obituary

Albin “Beanie” Moszkowicz, 75, of Chappell Hill, passed away on March 31, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the Rosary is recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Father Jozef Musiol, SDS, JCD as celebrant. In accordance with Albin’s wishes, he will be cremated and interment at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Albin, known to many as “Beanie”, was born on October 5, 1943, to Frank and Mary (Lewandowski) Moszkowicz. He grew up in Chappell Hill and attended school in Brenham. On April 8, 1967, he was united in marriage to Barbara Faterkowski. They made their home in Houston, and then later moved to Chappell Hill. Albin spent his whole career as a welder. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee, small engine repairs and weekly poker games. He looked forward to going out to eat breakfast with his grandson, Anthony every weekend. Albin was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, beginning as an altar server as a young boy.

Albin was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Mary Moszkowicz; brothers, Stanley, Pete, Isidore, and Teddy Moszkowicz; sister, Gertrude (Moszkowicz) Twardowski; and granddaughter, Ashley Scoggin.

Surviving family includes: wife of 52 years, Barbara Moszkowicz; daughter Linda Scoggin and husband Eric; son Richard Moszkowicz; grandson Anthony Scoggin; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and beloved dog companion Dolly.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Moszkowicz, Mark Moszkowicz, Eugene Twardowski, Kevin Moszkowicz, Charles Ray Moszkowicz and Dustin Moszkowicz (for Kenneth Moszkowicz).

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Scoggin, Eric Scoggin, Buddy Simmons, Mike Zawacki, and David Stegant.
