Alton L. Gasaway - Guestbook

We extend to you and your family our deepest sympathy in the recent passing of your husband, father, and grandfather, Alton.
Alton's mother and my mother were sisters and as a child growing up in Pascagoula, MS, I can always remember Alton coming to our home to visit his Aunt Louella. He was very faithful. He always had a smile on his face and he could give you a true "bear hug". I have not seen him in many years, but I will always cherish the wonderful memories. He will be missed.
I would like to leave you with this Old Irish Blessing, Betty: And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

With love and sympathy,

Betty,
I heard about Al and was so shocked. He was such a wonderful man, and always greeted me with a big smile, a hug and a kiss. I'm so sorry I wasn't in Brenham to hug you and be there. Please know you are in my prayers.
Love you,

Pat and I are so sorry for your loss of this loving family man. Alton and I were 1st cousins and lived far apart in different locations but we never forgot each other. Alton was a wonderful individual that loved all he came in touch with. I never heard him utter a bad word about any one. Alton was a loving, careing individual and will be sadly missed by all that he touched.

My Dear Friend Betty and Family,

I am saddened by the loss of such an amazing man. From the first time I met Al, he was a friend. We had many good times and shared a friendship that rarely comes along. I will miss him and always remember his meals he prepared and gladly shared. The meals he would have prepared with loving hands for us on our return from a trip. I will miss the big hugs and that great smile he always had. I will miss the life he brought to any gathering and the joyous times we all had. Most of all, I will miss my friend.

Betty & Family,

There are no words to express how sad I feel and am truly sorry for your loss. Alton has always been one of my favorite people from our Sunday School Class. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and kindness. We have lost a great treasure. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you and keep you strong.
