Alvina Frank

Alvina Frank, 88 of Brenham, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017.

Visitation will be Monday, December 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 12th at Frieden’s Cemetery of Gay Hill with Pastor Mark Groves officiating.

Alvina was born August 25, 1929 in Grimes County to Earl and Ida (Koester) Frank. She worked on the family farm and picked cotton. As a young woman, she moved to Houston. Here she worked various jobs at a soda fountain, as a nanny and as an elevator operator. She attended business school and then worked as a secretary for a collection agency. She retired to live in Bastrop and Brenham with brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Ben Frank, Ervin Frank, William Frank and Ablena Robertson.

Loving family includes: sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Ervin Lee Schulz of Brenham; special niece, Genienne Koehn and husband Ronny of Abilene and their son Carson and wife Robin of Denton; along with numerous other relatives.
