Alyssa Nicole Coon

Alyssa Nicole Coon, 11, gained her angel wings on January 21, 2019. She was born on June 25, 2007, in Orange, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Brenham, Texas.

Alyssa was born with a body that kept her trapped and limited, but this didn’t stop her from having a full life. She brought smiles, laughter, and lots of love to those around her. She taught us many things in such a few years, and will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by maternal grandmother, Wanda Cooley; mother and step-father, Kimberly Coon and Kyle Huvar; sister Bailey Huvar; grandparents, Marty and Rene Huvar, Ricky and Toni Coon; aunts and uncles, John and Melissa Russell, Eric and Sarah Huvar, Mike and Megan Callahan; cousins, Shane Russell, Destiny Russell, Lily Huvar, Mackenzie Huvar; and numerous extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Elmer and Alene Cooley, and Dixie Soape Kelley.

She is also survived by all the loving nurses and care providers that were “family” to her.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:30am until the funeral service begins at 11:00am, at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
