Barbara Roesler

Barbara Cosgrove Roesler, 91 of Brenham, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Brenham Rest Home.

On July 1, 1921, she was born in Brookshire, Texas to Hugh, Sr. and Hattie (Christian) Cosgrove. She was baptized in 1923 in Katy, Texas and confirmed in 1942 at Zion Lutheran in Houston, Texas. On February 16, 1942, she married Willie Roesler in Houston. Barbara was known for her work at S & H Green Stamp Redemption Center. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Her parents, husband, son Robert Roesler, daughter Barbara Jean Roesler, daughter-in-law Marilyn Roesler, son-in-law Ray Abbott, and brother Hugh Cosgrove preceded her in death.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Paula Roesler, Ron and Debbie Roesler all of Katy; daughter, Joan Abbott of San Antonio; grandchildren, Will Roesler, IV, Henry Roesler, Vicky and David Mazyn, Susie and Brian Parsons, Kristin and James Owens, Austin Abbott, Christopher Abbott, Marisa Payne, Tara Roesler, Ryan Roesler, Jennifer and Daniel Lopez; great-grandchildren, Megan Roesler, Lauren Roesler, Larry Perez, Keith Parsons, Kevin Parsons, Alyssa Parsons, Ashley Payne, Tyler Payne, Elise Roesler, Maggie Roesler, Raella Owens and Ava Battaglini.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20th from 6-8 p.m.in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 21st at 1:30 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Groves officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Burton. Pallbearers will be Will Roesler, Austin Abbott, Christopher Abbott, Ryan Roesler, Brian Parsons and James Owens.
