Obituary

Barbara Ann Levandowski Sisk of Hempstead passed away July 10, 2021 at the age of 68. She was the first-born child of Leon Wallace and Sophie Kathryn Levandowski of Houston.

Barbara had been battling various forms of cancer over several years. In June, after her body and spirit became too tired to endure further treatments, she decided it was more important to focus on quality of life. The day before her passing she was surrounded by family and friends in her home, which is where she was determined to stay. After her many years working as a nurse and truly loving her patients, she decided that she would forego any further medical intervention and focus on relaxing and spending time with family and friends in the place most relaxing to her; her home. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, collecting various items and most importantly spending time with her family.

She leaves behind: her siblings, Leon Wallace Levandowski Jr. and wife Beverly, Susan Levandowski and son David Guye, and Patrick Levandowski and wife Tanya; children, David Norman Sisk Jr. and wife Robin, Veronica Kay Cooper, Audrey Kathryn Sisk, Jeremy Wayne Sisk Sr. and wife Guadalupe, and Barbara Ann Malmstrom and husband Nicholas; grandchildren, Dominic Sisk, Marissa Sisk, Tatiana Sisk, David James Cooper, Autumn Kaye Cooper, Matthew Solomon Cooper, Madison Eliza Sisk, Jasmine Gonzalez, Angel Gonzalez, Jeremy Wayne Sisk Jr., Kaityln Nicole Kmiec, Kenzie Taylor Kmiec, Kaylor Kathryn Malmstrom, Karson Glynn Malmstrom and Kenlyn Kay Malmstrom; great-grandchildren, Amelia Bek, Everly Bek, Jason Yanez and Mazziah Anthony Nutall.

Barbara is preceded in death and has since been reunited with both of her parents, her grandson Christian, as well as several other family members.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer St. Brenham, Texas. The family will be present from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel with the burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery located in Chappell Hill, Texas.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers that those that want to donate do so to either the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the National Cancer Society as both illnesses greatly affected the family she loved so much.
