Obituary
Benita Wesolek Wessinger, 91 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Bluebonnet Hills Care Center.
Mrs. Wessinger was born March 25, 1917 in Brenham to Nick and Elizabeth (Antkowiak) Wesolek. She was baptized, received her first communion and confirmed in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She worked as a cashier for Prince’s Drive-Ins and Dot Coffee Shop while living in Houston. She also was a nanny and she loved cats.
Her parents; brother Monsignor John Wesolek; sisters Janie Wesolek, Praxeda Januszewski, Stella Kubeczka, Annie Beerwinkel and Mary Majorwitz preceded her in death.
Survivors include nephews Leon Januszewski, Herbert Beerwinkel and Charles Kubeczka; nieces Irene L. Januszewski, Mary Ann Ruffino and Martha Ruth Goff.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26 in Brenham Memorial Chapel by Deacon Bill Januszewski.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 27 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Bradford Hernandez as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
