Ben and I tried many cases together. He was a great lawyer and a great friend. I enjoyed talking with him and reliving some of our trials.
We only talked about our successes. I also enjoyed our many discussions of his serving in World War II and the Generals he served with. Ben was a great patriot and a great man. I will miss him and our telephone conversations.

Ben and my late father, Harold Bockhorn A&M Class of '39, were big buddies. Ben was an inspiration to me as I became a member of the Texas Aggie Band, and as I became the 2nd person from Brenham to be a drum major of the band. Ben was always easy to talk to and he was a great mentor to me in my personal life. A wonderful man in so many respects.
