Obituary

Bennie Frank Wisniewski, 72, of Brenham passed away Thursday, February 26, 2004 in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, Texas. Bennie was born May 3, 1931 in Brenham to Pete and Mary Konieczny Wisniewski. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also attended school at St. Mary’s. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lucy Ann Kubeczka whom he married in 1952 in Houston, Texas. On February 14, 1987 he married Alice Schoppe Massey at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brenham. Bennie retired from Continental Coffee where he worked in the warehouse for 46 years.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Lucy Kubeczka Wisniewski in October, 1983, his parents, son Larry Wisniewski, daughter Mary Helen Wisniewski, brother Johnny Wisniewski and sister Martha Murski.

Bennie’s survivors include wife Alice Wisniewski of Brenham; daughter Barbara Ayres and husband Tony of Houston; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Wisniewski of Houston; stepchildren Marvin and Karen Massey, Clifford and Sue Massey, David and Annie Massey, Patrick and Diane Massey, Gary and Patty Massey, Mary Alice and Jerry Griffin and Susan and Nolan Lange; grandchildren Angela Lopez and husband Edgar, Larry Wisniewski, Jr. and James Ayres; 14 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Louise Pawlawski and husband Frank of Chappell Hill and Lucille Pawlowski of Houston.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2004 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2004 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, Celebrant. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Forest Park Lawndale (Garden of Gethsemane) in Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers are Edgar Lopez, Larry Wisniewski, William Murski, Albert Brzymialkiewicz, David Massey and Gary Massey. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Pawlawski and the Knights of Columbus Council #3287.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or your Choice of Charity.
