Obituary

Beth Frances Schulze, 83 of Brenham, died Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 4th from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5th at 10 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

She was born December 4, 1935 to Homer and Lydia (Schroeder) Conner in Independence, Texas. She was baptized by Rev. Paul Gogolin, February 2, 1936 and confirmed on April 10, 1949 by Rev. C. J. Appel at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, William Penn. She attended William Penn School thru eighth grade and graduated from Brenham High School in 1953. She attended Blinn College before working in Houston for Wilson Supply Company in Houston for special bosses Arthur Pippert and Ralph Cushman.

Beth Frances Conner and Floyd E. “Jack” Schulze were married on September 6, 1959 by Rev. W.D. Marth at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, William Penn. They had three children and attended Ascension Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas. She was a housewife, mother and family caregiver, while Floyd diligently supported the family in the metal building business. In 1968, they moved to Hempstead and lived in the country, until early 2005, when health concerns brought them to Brenham and their beloved Washington County. She worked in the printing business in later years for special boss, Elvera Schroeder, prior to moving to Brenham. She has been a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1968 and a member of Grace Afternoon LWML since 1970.

She was preceded in death by husband in 2009, father, mother, step-father Charlie Tappe, Sr., father-in-law Reinhardt Schulze and wife Wilma, brothers Harold Tappe, Sr., Waldo Tappe, sister Doris Thompson, step-sister Sadie Brockermeyer and husband Walter, step-brother Charles Tappe, Jr. and wife Evelyn, sister-in-law Earline Brockermeyer and husband Floyd, nephew Allen Wayne Brockermeyer, nieces Janie Jones, Sheila Tappe and Linda Brockermeyer.

Survivors include son Paul Michael Schulze, daughters Cheryl Ann McMillan and husband David Wayne and Penny Sue Clark, sister-in-law Virginia Tappe, brothers-in-law Charlie “Dutch” Schulze and Bobby Thompson, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials are requested to Grace Lutheran Church.
