Obituary

Betty Jo Williams Kingston, of Brenham, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at College Station Medical Center.

Betty Jo was born on June 18, 1939 in Marengo County, Alabama to John Riley and Ruth Ann (Vice) Williams. Betty Jo married George Lee Kingston on April 19, 1973. The two operated several businesses in the Brenham area, Kingston’s Restaurant, Brazos River Barbecue, Park Tavern and Sander’s Place. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #245 in Somerville, Texas.

Survivors include: son, George L. Kingston, Jr. and wife Jamie Petz of Bloomington, MN, son, Michael Blue and wife Rita of College Station; daughter Karin Ann King and husband Wade of College Station; grandchildren Richard King of College Station, Misty Becker and husband James of Cuero, Kimberlyn McIntire and husband Jeff of Cuero Michael C. Blue, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Wesson, MS, JoHanna Lynn Kingston of College Station, Joshua Kingston of College Station, Emily Kingston of Bloomington, MN, Abigail Kingston of Bloomington, MN, Anthony Branson of Beaumont, Jeremy Branson and wife Shelby of California; great grandchildren, Victoria Becker, Colton Becker, Abigail Blue, Emmalynn Blue, Coleman Blue and Leon Branson as well as her brothers, Arthur “Bill” and wife Gladys Williams of Brenham, Willie E. Williams of Houston; sisters, Nelda Wilke of Brenham, Evyonne and husband Elwood Dannhaus of Brenham and sister-in-law Tillie Williams of Brenham, she will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, infant son John Goodman Blue and her brother John Thomas Williams.

The family will receive friends at The Brenham Memorial Chapel on Tuesday December, 18, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 19th at 2 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Embry officiating.
Burial will follow at the Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be: Richard King, Michael Blue, Jr., James Becker, Jeff McIntire, Mark Williams, Bobby Williams, Ronnie Baade, Donald Moehlmann, Mark Moehlmann and Thomas Williams.
