My heart goes out to Bill's whole family. I first met 'Billy', as I knew him, when my family moved to Brenham in August of '76... right up the hill from the big, happy Weiss family. His brother, Ricky, was my first boyfriend & high school sweetheart, his sister Lois was my friend & sister Bonnie, a treasured friend as my daughter's BMS principal. Their family is truly one of the warmest, most down-to-earth & loving families in Brenham.
Billy was a great kid, always had a smile & his family is a true tribute to what all American families should aspire to be.
It is a very sad day for Brenham to lose one so bright, kind and caring as Billy was then & the wonderful man, husband & father he became.
God bless the Weiss & Goessler families and please know how much my heart aches for you, through such tragic loss. God bless and keep his wife & children, always.
May God's peace & love surround you until we are all together again, one day, in Heaven.

Kathleen, Erik and Rachel,

I had the absolute pleasure and luck to have worked for your husband and dad as a public relations consultant. I knew the moment we met Bill during the interview process that he was a special person. His positive and always appreciative style made an impact on me. I will forever remember and work to incorporate the wisdom he imparted on me as my day was always brighter after a call or email from Bill. I'm a better person having known him so thank you for sharing. My thoughts are with you all.

What a terrible loss for everyone who knew Bill. As Advertising/Public Relations Manager for the Washington County Chamber/CVB, I had the pleasure of working with him on various tourism-related projects. He was always, without fail, cheerful and supportive of our efforts to bring visitors to Brenham and Washington County. I will miss that support, his expertise and enthusiasm for working with others.

My deepest condolences to Kat and family. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Dillards. There were 5 of us that worked together that became good friends. We spent a lot of time at work together, but also did many things with Bill and Kat outside of work as well. Bill was a great guy and a good friend. We had not kept in touch over the years, but it is obvious Bill was a great husband and father. It was nice to read all of the touching stories and kind words from friends, family, and co workers. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family.

Our deepest sympathy. Billy was such good, friendly, person and will be greatly missed. He always had a smile on his face, and, always made time to talk. He loved CUB football, especially, the kicker and the kicking game !! Everytime we exchanged the sign-of peace in church, his hand was always there to shake. I'm going to miss that. God Bless you Billy, and, we'll see you in Heaven.

Dear Weiss Family,

I work for MSC OPAS at Texas A&M University and got to know Bill during our annual sponsorship visits to Blue Bell. While our group thinks the world of our Blue Bell friends, Bill was the one to always keep us laughing. Once you met Bill, it was like you had known him your entire life. It was evident that he adored his family, as you were always a topic of our conversation during lunch. It will be a sad visit without him next year!

Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

So sad to hear this news yesterday. I worked with Bill at Dillard's in the early 90's. I used to call him "Bill the Wise-man" because he knew how to do everything and was always willing to help. I also remember the good times out on the town with Bill and Kat. While we haven't been in touch for some time, Bill and Kat made a lasting impression. My heart goes out to Kat, the children and everyone lucky enough to know this special man.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is tragic and devastating. There has been a big, black cloud over Blue Bell all week. We have lost a very special co-worker, mentor and friend. Bill was the best man I have ever met and the best boss I have ever had. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him the last two years. He has made such a positive impact on my life and I will never forget him and the lessons he taught me. I pray that you have peace that passes all understanding and feel God wrap you in His arms. Bill.....was my friend and more than a co-worker. Even though we didn't speak or see each other for months at a time, when we did get together it was as if we had never been apart. The first thing he would say to me is "Norris how's Memphis" with that contagious grin he had. We'd spend the next few minutes talking about everything except business. He wanted to know how you and your family were doing. In the 20+ years that i've known him, he was a geniunely good person with a kind heart. This world needs more people like him and we have been lessened by his not being here. He never had a negative thing to say about anyone....not even in jest. I will miss my friend dearly.

Dear Kat, Erik, Rachel and Weiss and Goessler Family Members,
Our hearts are so heavy with the tragic loss of Bill. We have lost a dear friend and co-worker. Bill was an upstanding, kind, happy gentleman and a friend who always had a smile and nice word to share. We will so miss his enthusiasm and expertise in promoting Blue Bell and dealing with the public. We will miss his taste buds as a taste tester and his geniune interest in everything Blue Bell. Our Blue Bell family is going to miss Bill so much. And, as a fellow Aggie, we will miss his awesome Aggie spirit. We know because of faith, Bill is with our Lord and that one day we will all reunite with him. Until then, may fond memories of all the times spent together help comfort you in the days ahead. Bill was one of a kind! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With Sympathy,

Our hearts are deeply sadden by your loss. Everytime we lose a loved one it reminds me of how temporary our life is, and how blessed we all are for every day God gives each of us. Gods word reminds us that death is not the end but a new beginning in life eternal. We do pray that God will welcome Billy into his presence and that he will comfort each of you in this difficult time. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, and that if we can help in any way, you have only to ask.

To the Weiss Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Words seem inadequate at a time like this. I know you will get the strength from your faith to get through this difficult time. My deepest sympathy to the family. Although I did not personally know Bill, I have a long past history with Esther & Ken Goessler when we used to bowl together. I also go to church with extended family at Christ Lutheran. I will continue to pray for all of you.
