Billie (Burch) Connor

The life of an extraordinary woman was Billie Anne Burch Connor. She was born May 26, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. Billie passed from this life on May 15, 2023 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

“BB” as she liked to be called had many interests and hobbies, from selling crafts at the Round Top events to square dancing with her husband, David. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends to destinations in the U.S. and Europe. As an accomplished pianist, she loved playing for nursing homes or anywhere she could share her talent. B.B. graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1961. She received a Master’s Degree in Education and became an educator and teacher.

BB is preceded in death by son, Troy Lynn “Beau” Bennett, Jr. and siblings, Mary Eugenie Bynum and William Wallace “Buddy” Burch.

She is survived by loving husband of 26 years, David Connor; son, Bryan David Bennett; brother, Gene Burch and his wife Reba; stepson Christopher David Connor and wife Pam; nieces and nephews, Cherie and John Snell, Scott and Heather Bynum, Shawn and Jennifer Burch and Eric and Jennifer Burch along with numerous grand nieces and nephews and a step-granddaughter Kate Connor.

Visitation with family will be Sunday, May 21st from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, Texas. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 22nd at 1:00 pm at Brenham’s First Baptist Church located at 304 N. Market Street, Brenham, Texas. Interment will follow in the Carmine Cemetery in Carmine, Texas.
