Billie "Jackie" (Brown) Ferguson

Billie “Jackie” Ferguson, 85, of Brenham, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20th from 1 p.m. until funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Jackie was born November 30, 1932 in Madison County, Texas to Moses and Era Lee (Hall) Brown. On September 19, 1951, she married Bobby Gene Ferguson of Brenham. They spent some time living in the Sugarland and Houston area and later returned to settle in Brenham. Jackie worked several restaurant jobs over the years and eventually retired from Walmart where she was employed as a cashier.

Jackie was strong willed but very good natured and devoted to her family. She was great mom and grandma to her much loved family.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bobby Ferguson; son, William Boyd Ferguson; daughter, Marsha Lee Howard; brothers, M. D. Brown, J. H. Brown, T. D. Brown and M. J. Brown; sister, Robbie N. Brown; grandsons, Gregory Howard and Billy Gene Ferguson.

Surviving loving family includes: son, Ricky Gene Ferguson of Brenham; brother, L. W. Brown of Gause, Texas; sisters, Frances Peek and Patsy Mund of Comfort; grandchildren, Misty Karge, Jeremy Ferguson, Tamara Cunningham, Gary Ferguson, Christopher Howard and Jonathan Howard, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Howard, Jonathan Howard, Jody Mund and Cody Mund.

Memorials are requested to Hospice Brazos Valley.
