Billie Sue Wells

Billie Sue Wells, 75 of Brenham and formerly of Edinburg passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Trinity Care Center in Brenham.

She was born April 14, 1929 in Edinburg, Texas to George Errol and Martha (Jordan) Edwards. On April 13, 1949 she was married to Doyce M. Wells in Alpine, Texas. Billie Sue attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Pan American University in Edinburg. For over 30 years she taught English at Edinburg High School. Billie Sue was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and had a special love for animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyce on December 24, 2003 and sister.

Her family include son Doyce Wells, Jr. and wife Cindy of Brenham; daughter Joyce Errolyn Anthony and husband Norman of Falfurrias, Texas; grandchildren Dixie Anthony Villarreal and husband Gus, Cole Jordan Wells and David Miles Wells; great-grandchildren Brian Villarreal and Natalie Villarreal; brother-in-law Edgar Wells of Springfield, Colorado.

Her body will be cremated and interred in Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas.
No services will be held.
