I had the privilege of working with Caden at HEB and more recently was lucky enough to be his neighbor. I will miss seeing him around on a daily basis, always with a smile on his face. He was always so kind and considerate and an over all wonderful person to know and be around. Rest in Peace, friend.

Sherry,
I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through and it makes me sick just to think of it. Beyond meeting them at Julia’s funeral, I don’t know Dean and Missy, but my heart breaks for them, just the same. I know how much you adored Caden and this loss is so very tragic. My most sincere condolences from one grandmother to another.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Caden Crow. As one of his professors, I had the privilege of watching him grow not only as a pharmacy student, but as a person whose character consistently reflected the very best of our profession. As described by his HEB colleagues, Caden was, without question, the embodiment of what H-E-B stands for—purpose over task. To him, no task was ever too small or too large if it meant helping a patient or supporting those around him. That mindset wasn’t something he turned on and off, it was who he was. He approached every responsibility with humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right.
In the classroom, he was thoughtful and engaged. In practice, he was exceptional. As a coworker and friend, he was someone people naturally gravitated toward—kind, dependable, and genuinely invested in others. He went above and beyond in every interaction, not for recognition, but because he truly cared. Caden represented the future of pharmacy in the best possible way. His impact on our college, his colleagues, and the patients he served will not be forgotten. It is an honor to have known him and to have been a small part of his journey.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
