Carol Lynn Voelkel - Guestbook

I met Carol in the 1960s at Texas Tech. She and I became great friends and ran all over Texas together. Then we flew for Braniff together in 1970 and 71 - more great times. Then I was in her wedding in Brenham. I can't so more than all the people have said here on these pages. She was the life of any gathering and a true friend.

I was coming to the area to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to invite her out wth us.

I am heartbroken to know you are gone dear friend. I'll see you on the other side. Don't let them run out of beer or wine before I get there.

I flew with Carol for years. I had lost track of her after visiting with her several years ago. I had been trying to find her and quite by accident heard that she was gone. My memories of Carol are sweet and warm! We had some good times on flights and layovers. Carol was always a source of joy and optimism. She brought laughter to every heart who encountered her. I wish I could have found her much earlier!! I know her absence will be felt by many. My prayers are for those she left behind for I know she is 'home' and her joy, love and laughter is as welcome in Heaven as it was on earth.

To the Voelkel Family...I remember Carol Lynn from High School. I just wish I could have gotten back in touch with her after I moved back to Brenham a few years ago. From everything I know and heard about her, she was an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed.

To the Voelkel family,
May God's peace come to you soon, knowing that
Carol just made the Heavens a little happier.
She was a special and unique person who I will never forget. I flew with Carol many times with
Braniff International. We always had fun! The
passengers loved her -- the crews loved her.

She will be deeply missed ,but I know the memories of her will help you from now on.
Blessings and God's peace to you.

Dear Salha and Boys; My best to you all at this sad time. I know your family's inner strenght will help you all through this tough time. You have a special strenght as a family and have seen so much in your lives that this too you will deal with in your own way. Tyson, I know how strong you are and with the help of your wife and children you will help your mother and the rest of your family through this. Stay safe and be there for each other and may God Bless You All. David

Death is a sad occassion for any family, but for this to have been so tragic empowers the sadness. I pray we can all remember that she is now in the arms of our Lord and without pain. Blessings to all her family and friends.

I was so sad to hear the news of Carol's passing. She definitely had a way of bringing people's spirits up whenever she was around--just a really nice (and completely funny) person. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. God Bless you Carol.

Carol Lynn:

There is only one way to describe you and that is that you were a free spirit. I wished I had half of the energy that you had. Your smile and personallity were infectious. There was no way that a person could be in a bad mood around you. I always loved it when you would come in the office as I knew that we would be laughing shortly after your arrival. With that said...I'm sure that by now you have everyone in heaven having a great time. You will be missed by all that knew you.

May God be with your family during this difficult time.

my dearest friend and supporter, when i first heard of this tragedy i felt as though i had been hit in the stomach. although we hadn't had any contact for awhile, i always considered you more than the landlord who gave me a hand up when no one else would, you were my friend. anytime i needed you, you were there with never a doubt that i would repay you. the world needs more people like you in it and i will miss you always. i know that we will see each other again. love ya', sylvia...

Carol, how we'll miss you and the way you could liven up a stagnant get-together. We loved you for that. We'll never forget you and what a gracious hostess you were each time we visited you. How excited our grandson Jonathan and our nephew Michael were when I told them we would all be having dinner with you that evening in August. I already miss you, dear friend. Liven things up in Heaven as only you can. See you there some day.
