Charles Colson

Charles Colson, age 81 of Brenham, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Colson was born September 12, 1927 in Fort White, Columbia County, Florida to Grover Cleveland Colson and Laura Elizabeth Ford Colson. Chuck attended South Texas College in Houston and Bible Way Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He served in the United States Army. On December 21, 1951 he married Willie Josephine Gray in Evangelistic Temple in Houston, Texas. Mr. Colson was an accountant with Union/United Petroleum Oil and Gas Company of Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. His hobbies were his family, faith and Houston sports teams.

Survivors include his wife Billye J. Colson of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law Rick Colson (Vickie) of Brenham, Ron Colson (Billie) of Loveland, CO; daughter and son-in-law Rendye R. Slataper (Ken) of Montgomery, TX; daughter and partner Rhonda F. Conner (Laura); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.

Memorials may be given to charity of choice.
