Obituary

Charlotte Faye Esterak - wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and faithful servant to God - passed away peacefully on June 3, 2020 in Bryan, Texas. Charlotte was born on June 8, 1939 to loving parents Earl Hobson and Myrtle Louise Hall Liles in Clewiston, Florida. She was the youngest of nine siblings. At a young age she and her family moved to Texas, where she spent the rest of her life. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, and graduated in 1957.

Charlotte and Johnnie started dating in 1961, and were later married on September 4, 1962 in Houston. They were married for over 58 years. Although they only started dating in 1961, they had met each other years before as they were childhood neighbors. After their marriage, they started their life in Houston, Texas where together they raised their two wonderful children, Inga Rena and Johnnie Jean (Jay).

Charlotte loved her family more than anything and spent most of her days caring for her numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her time watching over several of them while cherishing all of the special memories made.

Charlotte and Johnnie retired and moved to Brenham in 1997, where they became active members of their church and community. She volunteered her time, as a member in the Ladies Aid group at her church as well as the church quilting group. She loved quilting and sewing, as she was a talented and avid seamstress. Over the years, she created many keepsakes for her family and friends.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Myrtle Liles and brothers Charlie, Russel, Tommy, Lanny and Donald Ray. She is survived by her husband Johnnie Esterak Sr. and two children Inga Posey and husband Kevin Posey of Allen, Texas and Johnnie Esterak Jr. and wife Rhonda Esterak of Cypress, Texas, four grandchildren Adam Deas and wife Tanya Deas, Megan Hollmann and husband Russell Hollmann, Emaleigh Esterak and Maddison Esterak, as well as 10 great grandchildren.
